Chicopee Falls, Mass USA
I have a Springfield model 87a. 22 short an long rifle automatic. It was made by j. Stevens firearm co in Chicopee falls mass USA. Can I get a parts catalog for it an when was it made
I paid $25.00 for this rifle and I'm going to try to restore it. I need the year it was made before I start so I do not damage the value of it by doing so.

In good shape it should bring 300 to 375
The 223 is considered a Short Action rifle.
Springfield is the manufacturer. A rifle is a long arm with a rifled barrel. A carbine is a short rifle, generally considered having a barrel length of 20 inches or less. All carbines are rifles but not all rifles are carbines.
