This 'Springfield' was a house brand of Stevens, and should not be confused with Springfield Armory which produced firearms for the US Military, nor the current private company 'Springfield Armory USA' which produces the M1A rifle. Your gun is one of the many variants produced under the Stevens name beween 1915 and 1940. Value of the 20ga is somewhat higher than the more common 12ga, and if in excellent original condition can approach $400-$500. sales@countrygunsmith.net
No. They are two different companies. Smith and Wesson is in Springfield Massachusetts, as was the original US Springfield Armory. The modern company known as Springfield Armory is Springfield, Inc., located in Illinois.
I believe it is 567 years old
Manufactured sometime between 1920 and 1948.
