Impedance parameters or Z-parameters are properties used in electrical engineering, Electronics Engineering, and communication systems engineering to describe the electrical behavior of linear electrical networks when undergoing various steady state stimuli by small signals. They are members of a family of similar parameters used in electronics engineering, other examples being: S-parameters,[1] Y-parameters,[2] H-parameters, T-parameters or ABCD-parameters.[3][4]

The Z-parameter matrix for the two-port network is probably the most common. In this case the relationship between the input currents, output voltages and the Z-parameter matrix is given by: .

What is the application of z transform?

Type your answer here... APPLICATIONS OF Z TRANSFORM· Application of the z Transform to the Analysis of Linear Discrete Systems.· Application of the z Transform to the Simulation of Continuous Systems.· Application of the z Transform to the Analysis of Digital Filters.· Application of the z Transform to the Analysis of Discrete Signals.he z Transform to the Analysis of Digital Filters.One of the major applications of the z-transform is used as an analysis tool for discrete-timeLTI systems. In particular, we will use the z-transform for finding the frequency responseand evaluating the stability of discrete-time LTI systems.From the convolution property of z-transform, we have the relationship between the ztransformsof input and output sequences of a discrete-time LTI system asY(z) = H(z)X (z)where X (z), Y(z) and H(z) are the z-transforms of the system input, output and impulseresponse, respectively. H(z) is referred as the system function or transfer function of thesystem.

Why z parameters are called open circuit impedance?

In the Z-parameter Equations the independent parameters are Currents i.e., i/p And O/p . therefore to find any of the parameter(Z11,Z12,Z21,Z22) We have to either open circuit the input or the output port .as we are open circuiting any one of the port the Z-parameters Are called as open circuit parameters Got It ! Clear!

What is the practical meaning of H-parameters?

hfe stands for hybrid parameter, forward current transfer ratio, common emiter configuration.hie stands for hybrid parameter, input impedance, common emiter configuration.hre stands for hybrid parameter, reverse voltage transfer ratio, common emiter configuration.hoe stands for hybrid parameter, output admitance, common emiter configuration.ANSWER: It really stand for signal analysis computations

What is transconductance?

Conductance is the reciprocal of resistance. If it is taken between one output parameter and one input parameter, then it is called transconductance i. e. the ratio of output current to the input voltage.It is given by gm= Iout/Vin

when we use that parameter as a global parameter and we used that parameter through out the program without changing

Why would a function prototype contain a parameter type declaration such as double and?

declaration of functions show takes one argument of double as call by reference exmp: void show(double &); double x=10; show(x); void show(double & z) { z=z+10; }
