I don't know anything about cars, except I'm having my ball joints (I believe all 4) replaced on my 2000 Ford Explorer and they say it will cost around $760. I !

AnswerO.K. I work at Canadian tire in Hanover, and I did a little research for you. If you plan on replacing the two front ball joints at once, it will take about 2.8 hrs and at 68/hr that's about $190.40 plus parts. If you just want to replace one at the time it'll be about 1.5 hrs (this is by the labor book) and at 68/hr that's about $102 plus parts, so you are better doing both at once. Now the ball joints themselves are about $80 a piece depending where you go. Hopefully this gives you a general idea. Good luck!
