It depends on the region and the season. Turkey has all four seasons. Summer is warm to hot, high in average 80 F and warmer. Winter is mild to very cold, depending on the region you are traveling: during winter season Central Anatolia, Eastern Region has plenty of snow, it is cold average 32-40F and below. it is like U.S. New England region or Canada; Southern Turkey (Bodrum, Antalya) during winter seasons is like US South, it rains and it is cooler in the 50's, or below, very rarely gets snow; Istanbul area weather is similar to D.C.'s , it snows in the winter, but has milder winters than Central Anatolia and East. If you are traveling to Turkey you need a coat and warm clothes in the winter , an umbrella in the spring, a trench coat in the fall and bathing suit and sunglasses in the summer.
