Freshwater biomes are found all throughout the world, and they don't have a single average temperature associated with them. In fact, the only statistic that pertains to a freshwater biome is the amount of dissolved salts, or salinity, found in its water. A freshwater biome is defined to have less than 500 parts per million of dissolved salts in its water.
