Depends on the vehicle. Look under the hood, should be a complete diagram showing belt and pulley routing.

How hard is it to swap a 305 with a 350 in a 1997 4x4 z71?

Fairly straight forward. No engine swap is easy, but they are both small block Chevy's and it will not be that difficult. The Chevy 305 and 350 are the same block just bored out different. they aren't that hard to swap it normally takes about 6 hours if you have all the right tools and a buddy to help just remember where all the bolts came from and if its a manual its best to change the clutch now while its out now!

Where is the engine block coolant plug on a Jeep Cherokee?

IF it's a small block- V-8 there are 2 plugs, one on each side of the motor beneath the Exaust manifolds-ABOUT in the middle of the motor & usally take a 9/16 inch socket 2 remove them-I install NEW petcocks instead of the plugs so as not to need sockets the next time-IF U are going 2 drain on a regular basis.

Is there only one 305 engine style how do you know what you have?

305 SBC stylesThe 305 small block came with several inductions options over the years, including those witha 4 bbl. Rochester carb as well as TBI (throttle-body injection). if its still in the vehicle - check your VIN# [8th digit] H = Pontiac 305 LG4 G = Chevy 305 L69 H.O.

Will a 440 engine bolt up to a 727 transmission that is hooked up to a 318 engine?

No, you need a big block case. The 273, 318, 340 and 360 use the same bell housing, 350, 361, 383, 426, 400 and 440 use a different bell housing. Find more information about this in the HP Torqueflite A727 Transmission Handbook; available at www.tsr-racing.com

Crankshaft position sensor location on 98 jeep grand Cherokee limited 5.2 v8?

The Crankshaft Position Sensor (CKP) is located at the lower front of the engine on the engine front cover, also called the timing cover. Through a use of magnetic pulsation, the CKP sensor provides the PCM (control module) with a crankshaft position signal. The PCM uses that signal to determine the spark sequence (firing order) for each cylinder. It also uses the signal to precisely control ignition timing and calculate engine speed, etc. Hope that helps - and Blessings!
