Answer:
It also depends on the cats personality, not the breed. I have one cat that is two years old, he is a mix breed. He is really nice but afraid of everything, my other two mix breeds are very hyper, and my tabby cats are pretty hyper also.
However, there are some breeds that are very well known for being incredibly patient and gentle - especially with young children. These breeds include: American Shorthair, Maine Coon, Birman, Burmese, Persian and Ragdoll. However, it is best to look for a cat whose personality will match yours, not what breed it is.
Answer:
There isn't a "magic" breed that makes a great house cat. Your best bet would be to go to a shelter or rescue organization and check out the personality of the cats. Many rescue organizations will foster the cats so you get a real idea of what the cat/kitten's personality is like and whether or not it would suit your life.
Calicos are not a breed. They could have any personality, just like other mixed-breed cat. Calico, like the Tabby, is a coat colour which can be found in many many different breeds.

Well, the best advice I could give you is to get a cat breed book, I have one called The Ultimate Encyclopedia of Cats, Cat Breeds, and Cat Care. It is by Alan Edwards. It gives you basic info on the cat, and then it gives you examples of what its personality is, for example, for The American Shorthair, it says, Temperament: bold, intelligent, inquisitive, and active. It also give info on the cats' coat, eyes, other features, grooming, too.
The best one if you want to have an indoor cat, is Persian they are very calm and they have really interesting characters, they sleep a lot but remember you have to take really good care of their long hair. Also consider: Every cat or animal for that fact, is different. They all have varying personalities, and are each unique. When it gets down to it, it is mostly about the individual cat. Any breed of cat is good as pets, it mostly depends on your personal preferences.
It depends on if you are going to keep it as an indoor or outdoor cat, where you live, and if you have children. Usually a mixed bred is a good idea because they tend to have better temperment and intellegence, but that's not to say that purebreds don't. It might be a good idea not to buy one from a breeder, as some mother cats are often overbred. Try adopting a kitten/cat from a shelter.
It really depends on your personality and lifestyle. All cats have different personalities, so some will fit in with your lifestyle more than others.
Persian/Exotics/Himilayans and other pedigree cats are often kept as indoor cats due to their value and overall personality. Appearance doesn't matter.
This one depends on the household. I recommend Siamese, however. They are extremely smart and friendly. Watch out, they are very talkative.
I would recommend also, a Persian cat. I have two and they are both cute and fluffy. Its so easy to take care of. You just feed it upto 4 scoops of cat food then put water on a bowl. Leave it there and they will just eat and drink. But you also need to groom them everyday. Don't worry, I love grooming my cat, and I'm sure you'll love it too. :))
The Persian cat has also many colors.
-Blue,-Red,-Orange,-Brown,-Chocolate,-Gray,-White.
These are the basic colors. But there are also tabbies.
Hope this helps!
The Maine Coon is regarded as the largest breed of house cat. They can weigh anywhere from 5kg to 12kg and reach a length of 100cm including the tail.
There are a few BIG house cats, and Im assuming you dont mean fat, like Garfield... :-) Maine Coon Norwegian Forest Cat Savannah Bangle
There is no best cat breed, as it depends on your opinion.
Really its not the breed so much as the way it reacts with people. Say if you have a dog and you want a cat you should get a cat that is cooperative with dogs.
Catopuma temminckii
The Largest wild cat will be Manie Coon
There is no "best breed" of cat - the best cat will differ from person to person as every person and cat has different needs and personalities, no matter what the breed. Thus, this question will get many different opinions as there really is no "true" answer.OpinionNo cat is the best.Another OpinionI think Siamese are the best type because I have 4 and they are very obident, they know their name and come when you call.
Every Siamese cat I have had seems to talk more than any other breed, but I talk to my cats and I think that makes a difference.
No breed is the best breed, therefore it is best to pick a cat whose personality fits your personality and lifestyle. This way you can get the exact cat you want, either refined, wild or completetly devoted. I know that no breed is the best breed, but i would like to say that either a domestic, randombred, or mutt is the pretty much the best breed because the have such a wide range of personality and looks and pretty much any cat that isn't a purebred will fit in with on of these catergories and its pretty much personalized. i know some people enjoy purebred because of showing or just cause, but its the most commonly liked cat.
There are no cats in doodle god.
Yes, the Burmese cat breed is closely related to the Burmilla cat breed.

Yes, the Ragdoll cat breed is a very large cat breed.
There really is no correct answer for this. All cat owners believe their cat is the best. Really, the best cat is the one that suits an individual's lifestyle and personality. There is no overall best breed or type of cat. In my opinion, the best type of pet cat is the domestic shorthair or mixed breed, same thing, the ones with the light black and the white. But Estan7 you are correct.
