well, truthfully, I would have to say that, nevertheless of my opinion, that Darksteel is without doubt the best theme for decks in my time, which only, thus far, has been 14 yrs, so good luck to you.
Answer 2:
There is no 'best deck' in any of the colors of magic, it is highly dependant on what deck(s) you are going up against and what format you are playing in.
If you play a deck in a Legacy environment, it will look very different to one in a Standard tournament where you are only allowed to use the latest two blocks of magic.
If you are playing with multiple opponents you will want to have a much more robust deck which can deal with reams of threats at once and recover quickly from board sweeping effect like Wrath of God.
If you are playing creature heavy green and going up against, say, a black deck filled to the brim with click and kill spells and board sweepers, then you will inevitably be on the ropes; every deck has a weakness.
Answer 1:
Well there are many different ways about using such as spirit, token health gain and such but i am preddy sure big creature and landfall are the way to go.
My green deck uses landfall abilities, mana rush and big creatures i have...
2x ramaging baloths that put a 4/4 into play when land enters the battle feild
4x baloth wood crashers +4+4 when ever a land enters play (stacks)
4x fronteir guides when you pay four tap put a land from deck into play
the rest are support cards big creatures or mana rush
so to answer your question, straight green, you cannot go wrong with big creature
I have found that Ears of the Elves is one of the best decks to play. But i also like Relics of Doom
Most of the time : yes.

the only time toughness is taken away is when a spell or ability says it does
goodluck ;-) heck yeah magic is way better than yu gi oh I play both and I would say. If you want something to kill time with and not get to into it I would go with yugioh. But if you want something to put hours into and devote a lot of time and energy into to make a deck that's truly your own go for magic. ( my yuigoh deck I made in like 6 hours that's for tournaments. Well my magic deck I have been working on for like 12 hours and its still not done. Note: these are both for tournaments you can make a freandly deck with freands in about 2 hours top for both of these.)
For an Artifact deck there is a card that allows you to pay one every time you play an Artifact in order to make your opponent lose life and you gain life. it costs 1blue, 1black, 1white and 1colorless.
The best time to plan for a deck is to start building it when you know the weather will be nice. You want to start it in the spring, so it doesn't have to go through the weather in the winter.
everything its the best i do it all the time jazz
