this is the best deck (ive never been defeated) but you use 6 dark magicians,3dark magician girls and a lot of other spellcasters,also add a couple of Zombies and fairies.A KEY CARD IS THE SORCEROR OF DARK MAGIC atk2800 The truth of this matter is that there is no best deck and no worst deck. Everyone has there own style to dueling, and their own taste in monsters. Even if they are using decks that everyone seems to use, there will always be at least one part of that deck that the duelist likes the best. This game isn't about winning or losing, or who has the better deck. It is about honor and friendship. Believe it or not, it's all about "the heart of the cards". The best deck would use strategy and is complete. You should have a lot of effect cards to destroy enemy monsters. Use at least 1 or 2 man eater bugs fissures trap holes and other cards and have a good time Dragon is the best in my opinion it can knock out life points fast and defeat your enemy Let's be honest. There's only one good type of deck: Chaos.

That's the problem. At the 2005 nationals, everyone was running the same exact deck: Tsukuyomi field control chaos. The ones who won are the ones who drew Pot of Greed, Graceful Charity, Delinquent Duo, and BLS. I ran a fusion deck for fun at the nationals and got beat by chaos every time.

I use a burner deck now based mainly around gravity bind, raging flame Sprite and ultimate Baseball kid. Mostly yugioh is about luck meaning that you draw the cards that you need. In my opinion the best deck would have to be a lifepoint burn deck. Means that its a deck the has monsters and magics that take away your opponents life points and increase yours. some cards are tremendous fire, ookazi, magic cylinder, and some monsters that can attack your opponents life points directly like cannon soldier, catapult turtle, nightmare horse. Ok this is a little secret use swords of revealing light and hook up nightmare horse with axe of despair and keep attacking your opponents life points directly. The best card to have in a life point burn deck is black tyranno which can attack your opponent's life points directly by 2600 when your opponent's monsters are all in defense mode. There are many good decks, normally I would say a chaos deck is the best deck around but now they have banned chaos emperor dragon and black luster soldier, (I have them both and they are in my traditional deck) however the best advanced format deck is a burn deck. In my own opinion, the 1 and 2 star deck with "human-wave tactics"- "gravity bind- "triangle power" and " Level limit Area b" my deck seems to beat everyone cause i hav only ever lost twice and that was before i was inexperienced.my deck consists of 58 cards and my approach is to hav the same magic as traps as u do monsters that way u draw a mix of the 2 i just ram all my best cards in my deck and it seems to work alrite for me The best deck is my one.bt some of the r new cards (It hasent lost yet and i have it since Jan 2005)

Then... the best decks are one's that can disrupt the opponents plans by; depleting their cards (field, hand, deck and graveyard) and deal life point damage (direct and w/monsters) or can withstand their attacks by stopping/limiting them while keeping to their own theme and strategy at the same time.

There are a few "staple cards" great for most any deck(excluding prohibited cards)... Monsters: Jinzo, Guardian Sphynx, Great Maju Garzett, Sangan, Tribe Infecting Virus, Cyber Jar, Magician of Faith, Spirit Reaper, Mataza the Zapper and Penguin Soldier... Spell: Swords of Revealing Light, Snatch Steal, Pot of Greed, Premature Burial, United We Stand, Giant Trunade and Lightning Vortex... Traps: Mirror Force, Magical Cylinder, Royal Decree, Negate Attack, Magic Drain. There are more but look into these and add some to improve your deck. Have fun!!! Harrison Robottom The best kind of deck is a Gravekeeper deck. You have to have all the Gravekkeper's(3 of each) Jinzo and Charm of SHabati. Necrovalley is the MOST IMPORTANT card. Also have terraforming and a lot of equip cards(Axe of Despair works best.)

Other good decks are Amazon and Archfiends Decks. It really depends on you, but for the most part MIXED decks win. (No specific strategy.) They win because they don't have ONE weakness. You can win with other decks, like EXODIA decks, but only if you have the cards to make them. If I was you, I wouldn't listen to these people who cannot even spell properly. Every deck has a weakness, and every deck can be defeated. You have to know how to play. The answer to this question is based on opinion. However, most people will agree upon "broken" cards as being the "best". These cards are mostly banned from official Duels and Tournaments. The cards that were voted as being the "best" in a Shonen Jump Magazine survey were Raigeki, Harpie's Feather Duster,Monster Reborn, Premature Burial, and Mirror Force.

In reality, no card is completely unstoppable. Konami attempts to try to balance the game and resorts to banning a card if it is deemed much too powerful against others who do not have the same card in their own Decks.

There is no determined "best" deck but usually a deck made with one single type (zombie, machine, beast, ect.) is better then random cards that are really powerful. Also, spell caster decks can be really powerful because it lets you last longer then your opponent and get extremely powerful monsters out later in your game. the only problem is that you could go the whole game without doing much of anything (great cards for this deck type would be scrap iron scarecrow and anything that can stop the opponent from attacking also solemn wishes and a lot of card drawing spells traps or effects) I personally would recommend making structure decks and trying out the different ways that the cards play in a few games. the cards aren't perfect with a certain setup but the more you use the deck the more adaptable you get when using the deck. Practice makes perfect is very true for Yu-Gi-Oh.

In short try out different setups and see how they fit to you, then constantly use that deck.
