You can use whichever work best for you. Try out one different ones and see which ones you prefer. If you're worried about the pad falling off, maybe you'd prefer pads with wings. The wings are sticky part of the pad that you kind of wrap around the outside of your knickers to make it more firmly in place. Or maybe you'd find the wings annoying so you'd prefer pads without wings. You might want longer pads or shorter pads, generally depending on your own size and whether you're sitting, lying down or standing.

It's important to get the right absorbancy pads for you. If your period is heavy, buy some pads that are for heavier periods. If your period is light, buy some pads that are for lighter periods. Most women find that for the first couple of days they need heavier absorbancy pads and for the last few days they need lighter ones, eventually having panty liners for the final day or two. The absorbancy will be shows (normally by droplets) on the outside of the packet.

Also, the more expensive pads aren't always necessarily better than the cheaper, store brand ones, so choose some store brand and some branded to try.

So basically, just try out some different ones and see which you prefer. A lot of pad companies do free samples which you can get via their websites.

The best pad should be one that will have enough absorbancy. (Depedning on your flow - heavy, light, spotting, ect. - you should get a pad that is suited for handling it without any worries or chances of leakage.) Some easy-access brands that have a large variety to fit whatever your need may be are Always, Kotex, Tampax, and Playtex. There are many other brands, too, and go for whatever works best for your own individual body. Always infinity works great! You should try Kotex for when you first start your period.

The best type of pad would be a cloth pad, in general these are best as they're far more comfortable and hygienic than a commercial pads, but for heavy flow they are best as they don't come unstuck or gather up and can come in higher absorbencies. Opt either for a good all-in-one pad like Party In My Pants Pads, or an insert style like Lunapads which allow you to add extra layers to the pad on heavier days. Try buying cheap pads from Etsy first.

A pad is a cotton lining that you can stick into your underwear to soak up the blood that comes out of your vagina. It's almost like a piece of toilet paper in your underwear.

Hi there, actually all pads pretty much work the same, although some have wings and stuff. If you have a heavy flow i would consider a regaular pad from any brand.

What could be causing heavy bleeding like a normal period 6 days before your period is due you timed ovulation with an ovulation kit and your temperature is still high?

Your TEMP increases throughout the day & then decreases again. TEMPs usually increase during period, Ovulation and evening. This is normal & I honestly wouldn't rely on this as being a indication of pregnancy as it can be very misleading. If your bleeding is excessively heavy or heavy & worrisome, contact your DR for a evaluation. It is probably nothing to worry about but its best to ere on the side of caution, especially if you suspect pregnancy.

48 hours of heavy bleeding and pregnacy symptoms for the past week Am I pregnant?

Heavy bleeding is usually a sign of NOT being pregnant. "Pregnancy symptoms" is also a very broad statement. A heavy period could cause bloating, breast swelling, and even an upset stomach. If you are unsure, it is best to go ahead and just take a pregnancy test to be on the safe side. If there is a small chance, it is better to know for sure. If the heavy bleeding continues, or is reoccurring, you need to talk to your doctor to find out why.

How can you differentiate between ovulation bleeding and implantation bleeding?

Yes. This happened to me. I thought I was having a lighter, longer period which lasted a whole week. I didn't find out until my period was due the following month that I was pregnant. I thought I was four weeks pregnant. Several weeks later during an ultrasound I was informed that I was four weeks further along than I had thought. I had mistaken the implantation bleeding for my period! No where in any of my research did I see anything about implantation bleeding lasting that long. Most of the information I found said it lasts hours or possibly a day and only 1/4 of women experience implantation bleeding.

Can you still have a period during early pregnancy?

You had light spotting on the 10th day after your periods Can it be implantation spotting your period is due today can you take an HPT so early to check if you are pregnant or not?

no if you have a regular period and then 10 days after you are spotting...may be this can be old blood--this can't be implatation bleeding--implatation bleeding only happen once and around the time you expected your period and days for two days -not after you have a period and not all women get implatation bleeding--if you still have concerns its best to talk to your doctor --best of luck

Can a girl have her period when pregnant?

no its not possible. im a girl. ive never been pregnant but i know girls that have been. its actually sort of interesting talking to pregnant women. my brothers gf was pregnant and she started talking to me. she says you dont get your period if your pregnant. she was happy about that. she doesnt like having her period. not many girls do. i dont really like it cause the blood is nasty and annoying. i dont get bad cramps and when i do they dont bother me. but the blood is the worst part. i hate it. i think life would be alot easier if girls didnt get periods.
