The BEST way is to buy a VR6 VW that was rolled, rear-ended, T-boned or otherwise wrecked in a way that didn't mess up the front of the car, and swap everything in front of the windshield between your car and the wrecked one.
The best way that doesn't require you to be an ASE Master Technician is to change the chip in the ECU and replace the exhaust system.
