Be sure the heads and manifold bolt patterns match. If they do not match you'll either have to find a set of heads that have a matching bolt pattern or look for a set of exhaust manifolds that have a bolt pattern to match your heads. I speak from experience as I once had to change over my exhaust manifold for the very reason that the bolt patterns did not match up. redneck72 - you may need a manifold strethcer... when changing the manifolds on to my new 383 strocker in my 81 3/4 4x4. I had the smae problem, so i went to napa and i bought this tool called a "manifold strether" in spreads it so it cathes all six stud holes.
It should be about 45 ftlb
