It is he stage above the old 20. Now insurance groups are from 1-50 and are much more accurate. Some people feel hard do to because an old 4 such as a fiesta 1.6 eco has jumped to 11. The 1.6 engine was always more powerful and spritely than other group 4 cars and therefore was always lucky to be given such a low group. The N group was for esentailly for supercars or extreme high value cars. The Honda 2000 for example is a group 20 on the old system (why, i have no idea. Its only a fraction quicker than a Audi TT 2.0 which is 17 and is more expensive to repair) therefore this meant another group 20 car would have a very similar insurance premium meaning your 100k+ super car would attract the same premium as a honda. Doesnt add up does it. This is how the N cat came in. It is also known as the 20+ and covers Aston Martins and Ferraris so to speak. The new 1-50 is a much better and fairer system (unless you own a Ford).
