Will you still be a carrier of H1N1 even if you already recovered from it?

No, once you have had the flu and your body has successfully fought it off, the virus is gone from your body. Once you are fever-free for 24 hours straight after you had the flu, you can consider yourself no longer contagious.

WHERE do you fill clutch flu ed Mazda e2000 van?

We have just had some probems with our Mazda E2000 Campervan, and needed to fill the clutch fluid. While we had some difficulty finding the reservoir, there is a reservoir near the steering wheel on the left. It says that it is for brake fluid, but it is also for the clutch. We bled the clutch and while bleeding it the reservoir where the brake fluid is store dropped confirming that this is also the clutch reservoir. Hope this helps.

What is the influenza reservoir?

The different types of influenza have different reservoirs. To talk only of the types that humans get, the largest reservoir for human influenza Type A viruses (those that we see most often in seasonal flu and that cause pandemics of the flu) is the human being. In the bird flu that humans can get (Type A Avian Influenza H5N1 and H7N9), the biggest reservoir is wild aquatic fowl such as shorebirds, ducks and geese, but also commercial chicken farmers see it in their fowl, but less frequently. Influenza A viruses are also frequently isolated in pigs and horses. It is believed that the animal reservoirs are where most new human subtypes of influenza develop. This is true of the H1N1/09 pandemic swine flu which started in pigs and birds before mutating to be able to infect humans. Swine have been demonstrated to have receptors for both human and bird flu viruses, and as such are considered a potential mixing vessel for human, swine and avian viruses. (For more about that reassortant process that occurred with the H1N1/09 Swine Flu, see the related question about what caused the swine flu.)

Can you carry the Swine Flu virus but not get sick?

yes, you can. You cannot be a carrier of the Flu. However you can of come into contact with someone who was infected with the Flu & of had some of the Flu "germs" on you yourself & then pass this onto a friend or someone you come into contact with. You would not become infected with this providing its the same strain of Flu you've had yourself as your body will still have some immunity against this & you will be immune. Yes, you can. There are multiple forms of influenza virus (which cause the flu), and these different flu viruses mutate slightly from year to year (which is why there is a new flu vaccine each year against the predicted dominant strain). If you meet a flu virus which is quite different from those you have encountered before, you will probably get a bad case of flu. But if you have already had a similar virus and developed some immunity, you will only get a mild case which you might dismiss as an ordinary cold, or not even notice. Then you will become a "carrier" for the duration of your mild infection and be able to pass the virus on to someone else. This can't be generalized to all other viruses, though (or bacterial infections). The vast majority of infectious agents don't mutate in the way the influenza virus does. But there are certainly some other infections where you might have such a mild case that you don't notice you are ill.

Are the flu and Swine Flu the same?

No, Swine Flu is just one strain of the many flu viruses. Flu is an abbreviation for influenza. So Swine Flu is a type of flu, but all flu is not the swine flu, there are other kinds.
