You have a live wire shorting out in the signal circuit. Check the wire harness for damage.

the fuse box is under the hood, there's a map of the fuses in there, left and right may be seperate. the fuse usually blows when a trailer with a short circuit (permanent or intermittent) is attached. fix the trailer to avoid an immediate repeat.

It sounds as if you either don't have a wiring harness attached to your vehicle, or else you will need to get an adapter. All the plugs and sockets are different, depending on who made it, and how many connectors each one has.

The trailer plug in the Jeep may be wired wrong. Make sure the tail light plug is connected to the jeep taillight circuit. Some trailer plugs include a "hot" wire that allows the trailer to run a few accessories. Your trailer tail lights may be connected to that circuit.
If the blinkers work then your taillight wiring is bad.
