If the blinkers work then your taillight wiring is bad.
There are no extra fuses for your trailer lights. If you have the towing package (and you do) the trailer lights run through your regular fuses (tail, brake, turn).
Plug in the trailer harness into the 7 pin hookup next to the receive hitch if you have a stock towing package.
That would be a part of the tow package. If it has the tow package the trailer plug would be near the hitch and quite visible.

If the Avalanche came with the factory trailering package, the trailer lights are separately fused from the other truck lights. Check your fuse panel layout for a 10-amp fuse for left side and a separate fuse for right side turn signal/brake light on the trailer.

Lights are required on a boat trailer to proven those from behind running into your boat trailer. This is especially important at dark where it is difficult to see an unlit trailer.
