I have been all over my library and the internet looking for this very answer. The general summary seems to be that the main difference is altitude. As the aerosol nears the ground, the water will assume the ground temperature.
Altitude. Fog is a cloud that is at surface level. This means that the dew point and temperature are almost the same.
You can get a good idea of how high clouds are by knowing the dew point and current temperature. Clouds will be about one thousand feet high for every two degrees of difference.
well fog
fog is very thick and sometimes you can not see at all and i think that fog is very slow and heave.
well mist
mist is a common sine of fog and it is very light and it is not that bad and all it is is low clouds
fog -> at land level cloud -> in sky
In both fog and cloud, the dispersed phase is a liquid and the dispersion medium is air (gas). The only difference between them is that the fog is formed in the region close to earth while clouds are formed in the upper layer of the atmosphere.
Blizzards is a snow storm that you cannot really see through and could freeze to death in and fog is just a thick gray cloud that you cannot really see through but you cannot freeze to death in fog
A fog is a low travelling rain cloud that is touching the ground.
fog
fog -> at land level cloud -> in sky
Fog is created by the tempurature and weather and a cloud is created by evapourated water
cloud is like a fog , and a sky is space full of air and the ozone layer
They are quite similar.Clouds are formed more higher up and are much thicker.Fog is formed lower down and is not as thick as a cloud. They are the same. Fog is a very low cloud. They can be the same density. The scientific terminoly for fog is = Fog is a cloud that is in contact with the ground. The only difference is the ground but a cloud may be considered partly fog; for example, the part of a cloud that is suspended in the air above the ground is not considered fog but the part of the cloud that comes in contact with higher ground is considered fog.
Fog is just a cloud that is low enough to touch the earth's surface. Yea fog is a cloud.
Fog is a cloud on the ground.
In both fog and cloud, the dispersed phase is a liquid and the dispersion medium is air (gas). The only difference between them is that the fog is formed in the region close to earth while clouds are formed in the upper layer of the atmosphere.
Yes. Fog is like a cloud in the sky
A stratus cloud
Yes, fog is a ground level cloud.
Fog is water in the air. Smog is a cloud of chemicals released by things like car exhausts. Smog pollutes the air, hurts the ozone layer and can cause acid rain.
You can feel a cloud when you are in fog
