take your length x width and divide by 81 for a 4" thick slab. Example 24'W X 48'L = 1152 / 81 = 14.22 yards. always order a half yard extra to allow for low spots in grade. its better to have more than run out in the middle of a pour
THE PHCC recommends 24 "
The lower the gauge number, the thicker the steel.
type 1
3' wide, about 31'----4' wide, about 24'
About 24 cubic yards of cement is required for a slab that size.
24"
3.56 Cubic Yards
3.56 yards
Volume = 11.85 Cubic Yards.
11.852 cubic yards
If the 6 is meant to be inches (= 1/2 ft.) then: 8 ft. x 24 ft. x 1/2 ft. = 96 cu.ft. concrete.
For a 16' x 24' slab with a depth of 4", you would need a minimum of 4.74 cubic yards.
24 beers in a slab
With a 16' x 7' garage door you can get by with a 20 x 20 slab. 22 x 24 will of course be more comfortable...
9 cubic yards
You will need 3.1 cubic yards or 139 80lb bags. This assumes a waste of about 5% which is typical.
