I don't know if you noticed but something like skim milk can cost more than 2% milk. For some reason 1% milk can cost less than 2% milk.

Depends on which part of Canada. Here in Alberta and again depending on where in alberta, it's roughly $1.50-$2. However, the average income is roughly $67000/year. Economic factors determine cost. I would bet that a litre of milk costs less in Ontario then it does here.
