There is no fundamental difference in meaning, but 'take a look' can have a very slightly more informal/casual usage than 'have a look'.
Examples:
# Patient to doctor: "Would you have a look at my throat, please Doctor? It's been sore for over a week now." # School friend to school friend: "Hey! Take a look at that new teacher's car!"
See Related link (below this box), which shows a news clip where both forms are used.
To look at something means to observe it. To take a look at something means to examine it.
"take care" means be careful. ususally someone else look after you. for example, " i look after my little brother"

where and what year did the first meeting take place between the powhatan and the english?
It all depends on perspective. If you look at it as a IP network, the difference is routers used in WAN. If you take in account DNS and other Internet services, the difference is more dramatic.
There is very little difference unless you take away the 'for' :)
