Without getting into a PC vs Apple debate; the main difference between an IBM (PC) and an Apple PC, is the operating system.
Apple computers run on Machintosh OSX (older apples might use an earlier OS version, such as OS9) while IBM PC's will run on Microsoft Windows operating systems, such as Windows Vista, Windows XP or the latest Windows 7.
Apple computers generally are more expensive, and at the same time offer reliability. They are generally marketted to the Arts industry, such as music creators or graphic designers where as IBM PC's are generally marketted to businesses that require a robust framework on which to run their programs - most accounting software for example will only run on a Microsoft based operating system.
Microsoft based computers are generally known for their value for money, whilst comprimising quality, where as Apple computer's are generally overpriced, but providing a much better user experience.
There isn't alot of difference nowaday's anyway -- Mac's are coming down in price, and window's usability is skyrocketting with the release of Windows 7.
Macintosh is a line of computers built by Apple, Inc. IBM is a major IT company, involved in many computer-related fields, including manufacturing, microprocessor design, and operating system development.
IBM develops new ideas and technologies based on a general strategy. Intel adopted a methodology that applies its research efforts toward a specific goal, such as meeting a product road map.
IBM of course
IBM over rules and dominates MAC by a long shot (IBM RULES)
I don't understand the question, but IBM is now Lenovo.

There is no such difference. All digital computers have elements that basically work with two different states; these are commonly called 1s and 0s, sometimes "true"and "false". But there is no difference in this sense between IBM and Apple.
IBM came first
No. They are two entirely separate corporations. In terms of market capitalization, Apple is bigger than IBM.
All three companies produce computers that are compatible with many products created by IBM.
Apple World deals specifically with one brand of computers - PC World covers any IBM compatible PC
The major difference is that the iPad is made by Apple. The debate between Apple and IBM has been going on for decades, and will continue in this market as well. Apple means locked into their system, while IBM will be more compatible and buggy.
Fundamentally there is no difference between an HP computer and an IBM compatible computer. They both use the same type of technology and software. The differences will be in how much memory, hard disk space they have, the prices, and the warranties.
Windows works with IBM machines, though Windows '98 is incredibly obsolete at this time.
The IBM 4300 series were computers that were manufactured by the American firm IBM between 1979 and 1992. The 4381 was the last of these computers to be produced, from 1983 onwards.
i thin it might be IBM because apple have their own way of Surfing the web and stuff
Technically, the only computers that can be called "IBM Computers" are the ones that have been manufactured and/or sold by IBM. However, the "IBM Compatible Computers" are those that have been built in accordance with the IBM Standard. IBM created the original PC then turned it over to the "open architecture" community to be built by anyone who wants to follow those standards. IBM Compatible computers are the "PC" including the Laptop PC. Pretty much just about anything that's not "Apple".
IBM no longer produces hardware that is compatible with Windows '98 but it will run on a recent Apple computer within the Virtual Box software. (See links below)
