Ruth and Esther are both women who have books in The Bible named after them, but that is where the similarity between them ends. Ruth was a woman from Moav, from the days of the 'Shoftim" - before the 1st temple was built. Ruth converted to Judaism, and became the great grandmother of King David. Esther was a Jewish queen in Parsia, whi saved the Jewish community from destruction. She lived a few decades before the second temple was built.

There is nothing in the Book of Ruth that mentions this. perhaps you are thinking of Esther (See Esther 4:15-16).

I believe there is another though I have been unable to find it...
