With the upcoming many models of Pontiac's line of performance cars, I will answer the GT-GTP question specifically for the 1997-2003 model years of the Grand Prix. * The SE is the entry level Grand Prix, and is equipped with the 3.1 liter engine or the 3.4 liter engine, depending on the year, and is capable of approximately 161 horsepower in 1997-1999, and 175 horsepower from 2000 on. * The GT is the high-output, normally-aspirated (non-turbo or supercharged) level of the Grand Prix, and is equipped with the 3.8 liter engine, which produces 200 horsepower and 225 ft.-lbs. of torque * The GTP is the supercharged high-output level of the Grand Prix, which produces 240 horsepower and 280 ft.-lbs. of torque, and I believe larger brake calipers. Also to be noted, the 2004-2006 models of the GT and GTP each have an additional 20 horsepower, and after 2002, the Grand Prix was no longer offered in a 2-door coupe model. Hope this helps!
The major difference is that the GTP is supercharged.
The difference in a GT, and GTP is that the GTP is supercharged. Which gives it 40 extra horses over the GT. GT1 means it a car that was realeased in the first half of the year.
The GTP is supercharged and the the GT is just the 3800 engine without a supercharger
Very simply, the GT has a 3.8L v6, and the GTP has the exact same 3.8L with a supercharger on it that adds about 40 HP.
The "SE" has a 3.1L v6 160 hp, the "GT" has a 3.8L v6 200 hp, and the "GTP" has a supercharged 3.8L v6 240 hp.
Yes
no
you can but keep in mind it has a different gear ratio. GTP is 2.93(4t65e-hd) and a GT is 3.29(4t65-e). also the GTP tranny is a little bit stronger.
GT Coupes = 967, GT Sedan = 2,871, GTP Coupes = 1,128, GTP Sedans = 2,256
Mustang Gt's have a V8 engine
mustang is a six cylinder gt is eight.
the difference is 2.... as in 2 years
