The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel as we know it today was not given official Kennel Club recognition until 1945. The King Charles Spaniel whose history has been documented since the 15th Century has its origins in the courts of Europe. In 2000 only 185 King Charles Spaniel puppies were registered with the U.K. Kennel Club while the registrations for Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppies exceeded 11,400.
There is really no difference just Cavalier's grow a bit bigger and king Charles spaniel's
have a little bit longer hair.
Actually, there is a BIG difference between a Cavalier and a King Charles Spaniel...
King Charles have a dome-shaped head and huge eyes. Their muzzles are about the length of a pug's. Their ears are lower-set and the lack of muzzle sometimes makes them look unintelligent. However, this is not the case. They are about as smart as the Cavaliers. English toy spaniels are smaller and they seem to sometimes have longer fur because of their lacking 4 inches to Cavaliers.
Cavaliers have flat heads and much longer muzzles. Their ears are higher set and their eyes aren't nearly as big. They have a very vulnerable and sweet expression and they are ranked the 44th smartest hunting and gunning dog, making their intelligence right about average. They get to about 12-13 inches.
SEE? There is a BIG difference. :)
English Cocker Spaniels originate from England and American Cocker Spaniel are from America.
English cockers are still aimed at being a working breed - they carry comparatively little extra fur (feathers) and the head shape is unexagerated compared to an American cocker. Seen side-by-side they are chalk and cheese.
A cocker spaniel is a little bit smaller a little different temperament. I've heard people say that Cockers are good family dogs but I've never cared for them personally. They're both long-haired and either can be show dogs, if they were bred for that purpose. They come in different colors, Cockers can be any solid color or parti color. Springers don't come in solid colors but can come in parti-colors. Cockers are more typically family dogs or show dogs than hunters. Neither breed is better than the other, they're just different breeds. Price for both depends on whether you choose a breeder with an established business or a rescue organization or other.
Ahaa. But that's where you're wrong. I have a springer spaniel; Who HAS got a solid coat colour. He's Completely Chocolate brown; except from the little white spot on his chest. He's a gorgeous family dog- constantly wants to know you love him, and Is extremely clever. :)
The cons would be that he does whine a when you go upstairs. (Just because he knows your in the house, and he can't get to you.)
He barks when he wants his food.
He nips to get your attention; this means whenever you walk through the door..
Cocker spaniels can be smaller in size, but it doesn't necassasarily mean they're any different. Cocker and springer spaniels were both origionally the same breed, as they came from the same litter up untill the late 1900's.
There are two types of cocker spaniels, the English Cocker Spaniel and the American Cocker Spaniel.
There is no breed called an 'English Spaniel Dog" there are a few different spaniel breeds that originated in the United Kingdom. The ones that have English in their name are: English Springer Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel, English Toy Spaniel. To learn about the specific differences, check this website:

cocker spaniels are taller have longer ears and snout and usually have darker fur
Cocker spaniels are actually pleasant to look at, their fairly cute yet they can be quite ugly dogs at times.Springer spaniels are simply hideous.Voted one of the ugliest Dog Breeds in 2018 it's no wonder the public labels these dogs as "horrendous" and "f*cking creepy", with their bulging almost sunken eyes, and oddly creepy defined faces.Only people who own one of these dogs, or perheaps grew up with "interesting" looking dogs would view them as cute.
It would be like the nose part and the tail. like i have a spinger spainel and his nose is different from a cocker spainels. cocker spainels can have it like longer i think thats the word.
well not really they are quite the same.
The English toy spaniels are different then the Cavalier king Charles spaniel. I personally have a cavalier and think they are much prettier and magestic, but that's just me. The main difference between the two breeds is that the English toy spaniels has a pug like mussle. The English toy spaniel are also known as the king Charles spaniel (not too be confused with the Cavalier king Charles spaniel).Try Google that should help you to.
