There is absolutely no difference. They are simply branded differently. A "Centrino" processor is any Pentium M, Core Solo, Core Duo, Core 2 Solo, Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, ore Core i7 coupled with an Intel chipset, wireless card, and integrated graphics.

hey... centrino 2 is actually core 2 duo processor manufactured by Intel that is much expensive than amd turion x2 64 ultra dual core mobile processor i currently have the "amd" and m really satisfied by its performance people say it gets heated up but i use my laptop for 24hrs+ n i don't find any heating up issue... as compared to Intel theres not much difference in the performance
