Air compressors can pump up to around 200 to 300 PSI max. PCP air rifles require 2000 to 3000 PSI. That's why a hand pump is used. It will take around 100 plus strokes to reach the required pressure. I use a Scuba tank that is charged to 3000 PSI. It's a lot easier and cost me $15 to refill it. I get several charges out if it before I have to refill it. Some PCP rifles can use C02. This cost about $5 to fill a 20oz tank. The Air Force Condor and Benjamin Marauder are such rifles that can use either air or C02.

What is the difference between an oil free compressor an oil flooded compressor?

The main difference between an oil free compressor and an oil flooded compressor is the method of injection to compress the air for mechanical equipment, most common being construction equipment. What is the difference between air compressor filters and air compressor air dryers?

Air compressor filters are on the intake side of the compressor motor to filter the air as it is brought in. Dryers are collection points that are drained daily as the compressor is hot when operating and moisture develops in the tank. Should drain the tank daily after use and the dryer should be installed in line before the gun.

What is the difference in a pump and compressor?

they have different names A Pump is a mechanical device which transfers Liquid from a lower point to a higher point.Eg: Centrifugal pump,Rotary pump,Reciprocating pump. A Compressor is a high pressure mechanical device which basically compressors air/gas Well, a compressor compresses a gas and a pump moves a liquid. Compressors are often used in refrigeration applications where gas is transformed into a liquid and vice-versa, so the main task for the compressor is not to move the gas but to compress it.

What is the difference between an air conditioning compressor and an air conditioning condenser?

The compressor is a pump. Its job is to raise the pressure of the refrigerant and push it around the system. The condensor's job is to cool the pressurized refrigerant so it can condense into a liquid. It usually looks like a bunch of tubing with attached aluminum fins, like the radiator on your car.

Where is the air compressor located on a 1997 Ford Taurus?

It does not have an Air Compressor. If you are talking about the A/C Compressor, then just look at the drive belts. One of these belts is driving the compressor. If it has one serpentine belt, it is driving the A/C compressor, PS pump, Alternator, & Water Pump. Just follow the belt to find it.
