If you need the high compressed air then you can go to the compressor (It gives the very high compressed air used is sand blasting operations )... If you need the high velocity of air with very high quantity you can go to the blower.... You can see the blowers in the centralised a/c planted shops.....

The main difference is that blowers are used for the transportation of high volumes at low pressure whereas compressors are used for low volumes with high pressures
