Consider that a webpage is what you have on screen when you access/view a website. The page displays simple text, or photos, links to other pages, embedded applications (flash video, tchat, musicplayer), etc.
Tchatting through a dedicated 'tchat' software is not done through a webpage.
A website contains web pages. In the same way that a book contains pages.
