While the Soviets were anti-Semitic and pretty cruel to the Jews, they were nothing like the monstrosity of Nazi Germany.

Germany helped Lenin (a communist) get to Russia hoping that he would help to overthrow the Russian monarchy, and start a communist revolution. A revolution would mean Russia would be involved in a internal Russian war/Civil War instead of fighting with Germany
Adolf Hitler was the Nazi dictator of Germany. Josef Stalin was the Communist dictator of the Soviet Union (that includes Russia).
It had somthing to do with the cold winter and how they treated the civilians
Hitler die and Stalin rule Germany without allied and Germany is being Occupied by Russia and German will be a COMMUNIST!
It was a Totalitarianist government. Hitler's Nazi Germany and Stalin's Communist Russia are probably the world's two best examples of totalitarianism.
Russia turned into the very thing that America was trying to get rid of. Russia wanted a communist torn Germany this among many things is why the Cold war started. But the point is that Russia thought that if Germany was united once again than they could possibly take over the world. The reason why is because of Germany's power so breaking the country into small independent states makes them individually weaker and Russia wanted another communist government to be in control of.
Russia is a communist government
They technically made peace with Russia, but that was more like Russia being taken over by a communist uprising and dropping out of the war than Germany signing a treaty.
Russia had already concluded a separate peace treaty with Germany a year before on March 3, 1918: the Treaty of Brest-Litovsk.
Non-communist Russia was called Russia. When Russia was under communism, it was called the Union of Soviet Socialists Republics or the USSR.
