Photoelectric effect.===================================== This phenomenon was discovered by Albert Einstein, for which he received the Nobel Prize for Physics. The solar cells that we use today is a direct application of the photoelectric effect, as the special metal absorbs Sun's photons and gives off electron (and the flow of electrons generates an electric current).
That's called the 'photoelectric effect'.
The weird thing about it is that it doesn't depend on how bright the light is ...
only on the color of the light !
-- You can pour as much light onto the material as you want, bring in all the lights
from the other labs and shine them all onto the material, make it so bright that
you can't look at it, and if the wavelength of the light is too long, there won't be
a single electron ejected from it.
-- But once you make the wavelength of the light short enough, it doesn't matter
how dim the light is, it'll rip loads of electrons away from the material.
This was widely known and easily demonstrated into the 20th Century, but
it couldn't be understood or explained.
Albert Einstein published the explanation in 1905, and it earned him the Nobel
Prize in Physics. The Prize came 16 years later, and it was Einstein's only Nobel ...
nothing for Relativity, etc.
The creation of electrons when light is shined on a material is called the photoelectric effect.
This phenomenon is called as Photo electric emission.
This is known as the photoelectric effect.

The negatively charged particles in question are called electrons, and the flow of electrons is called electricity.
The phenomenon of ocean waves lighting up at night is called bioluminescence. It is caused by the emission of light by some organisms, such as deep sea fish and fireflies.

The pollution caused by the emission of harmful radiation from radio active elements which causes harm to the atmosphere and living being even trees is called atomic pollution is usually caused by nuclear waste (incompletely used uranium) of nuclear power plant.
it refers to the gas that are emitted from the ehaust of the car. it is caused by the combustion of gas inside the engine.

electrical energy
The series of lines in an emission spectrum caused by electrons falling from energy level 2 or higher (n=2 or more) back down to energy level 1 (n=1) is called the Lyman series. These emission lines are in the ultra-violet region of the spectrum.
The heating by the filament causes the electrons to "boil off". Edison noted this phenomena and it was later picked up by Fleming who used a "grid" which could control the flow of the electrons by introducting a repelling field between the Cathode (heated element that emitted the electrons) and the anode that attracted the free electrons, thus the "Fleming Valve" was invented (the vacuum tube.
An acoustic emission is a physical vibration caused by sudden movement within a material subjected to physical stress.
electricity is caused by the flow of electrons. but molecular bonding (chemsitry) studies the transfer of electrons from atom to atom to form bonds and complex structures.
