I happen to own a Mercedes C240 and it has no dipstick. It holds about 8 to 8.5 quarts of oil. To check it you have to change the oil, run it, then wait about 5 minutes. Then, you turn your key on to the on position and using the buttons on the steering wheel, you scroll though until you find the oil level measuring function. Then, it will prompt you to turn the key to the run position and then it will measure the oil level. I know it sounds like a lot of steps, but it really isn't that big of a deal. Thank you.
5Qts with stock oil pan
For general power use: oil pan capacity is approx. 27 liters oil filter capacity is 4 to 4.5 liters For construction machinery use: oil pan capacity is approx. 25 liters oil filter capacity is 4 to 4.5 liters
If it has a stock, Original Equipment Manufacture, (OEM) oil pan then the pan capacity is 4 quarts. This engine requires 5 quarts with an oil and filter change, with a stock pan and stock filter. I stress, OEM! If it is not an OEM pan, then it may hold more. Be sure and not to overfill, as this will cause engine damage through cavitation.
If it has the stock oil pan on it, then it will hold 5 qts. with a new filter.
engine oil is 6 qts trans is 5 qts with deep pan
The 1991 Mercedes Benz 2.6 liter engine oil capacity is 4.5 quarts. The engine oil pan will hold 4.0 quarts and the oil filter will hold one half quart.

It is on the bottom of the engine, when you lay down under the engine and look at the bottom of the engine, The oil pan is what your looking at.

The engine oil pan helps in storing extra oil for the car engine. This stored oil can be used for lubricating the engine. The oil pan is placed at the end of the engine. Generally you will find two types of oil pan, namely dry and wet pan. It also helps in covering the bottom area of the car engine.
