Yes. In Buddhism, the equivalent to Heaven is a place/state called Nirvana. Buddhists believe that when you die, you keep reincarnating as another person or as an animal. You will reincarnate every time you die, unless in your current life you reached a state of enlightenment. Only then will death pass you on to Nirvana.

How many people follow Nichiren Buddhism?

I used to follow Nichiren Shoshu. It did not follow actual Buddhism. So many people that used to follow it don't anymore. I first became a different type of Buddhism, but because there is no way to Heaven through Buddhism, I decided to become a Christian. Or God called me to Christianity and gave me faith. Glory to our Father who art in Heaven-Amen.

What is the difference between Buddhism vs chirstiany?

Buddhism has no creator God, Christianity does. Buddhism can be considered as not a religion, Christianity definitely is. Buddhists believe in rebirth, Christians believe that after death, we go to heaven or hell. Buddhism was founded by an [Enlightened] human, Christians believe that Jesus was the Son of God and is part of the Holy Trinity. Buddhists [unlike any other major world religion] believe that the soul is impermanent [Anatta], Christians believe that after we die, our soul lives on in heaven/hell

Buddhism- is heaven a happy place?

Yes, Heaven is a happy place in as much that no one really likes to leave heaven. As we cling to our happinesses on Earth, so do we cling to happiness in heaven. Those who are in heaven are also plagued with the same grief as ours because both happiness and grief are the two ends of the same dichotomy. Neither are dependant on the geographical location; be it heaven or Earth.

How is Buddhism unlike other universalizing religions?

Most religions teaches about a creator/almighty God. Buddhism does not agree on this. Most religions emphasize on Genesis and Apocalypse. Though there are Genesis and Apocalypse teachings also in Buddhism, those are only peripheral teachings, and not quite important to follow the path. Those are presented "just for the extra information". Most religions have followers who worship or pray in return of materialistic favours. Buddhism does not encourage prayer for material gain. It is shunned as ineffective wishful thinking. Buddha asks, if prayer works, why still there are poor, why still there is suffering among humans. Most religions teaches to aim for the heaven, and avoid hell. Buddhism says, there is no eternal life in heaven. Angels fall, Gods also die, so cease the suffering by removing attachments, which is called Nirvana, which is way more better than going to Heaven. But if you fail in the path, you can still go to heaven.

Who is God to the Buddhist?

There is no creator, all knowing god in Buddhism. However there are gods in Buddhism who are just beings who live in the heavenly realm but they can be re-born in any state after their life expiry. The Buddha was also not considered a god, but was a man with supreme wisdom.
