To the best of my knowledge EVO stands for electronic variable orifice. This valve which is in your Power Steering pump gets readings from your cars speed and tells the pump how hard it needs to work. So when your car is sitting still your power steering pump needs to work harder than if you are traveling at 70 mph. Hope this helps
