Please repost with the engine size (4cyl or V6) there should be an emissions label on the radiator (or close by) that has the firing order on it.
All factory available engines for 1985 Rangers have a CLOCKWISE ROTATION on the distributor
if it is a 3.8 liter it is 165432 for the 2.8 it is 123456
