well to make this quick the firing order is 1-4-2-5-3-6.dist rotation clockwise.now the number one terminal on the cap is facing the rear like between the seats yes it is a weird one to look at the dist. rotor the rotor tip will be facing towards the rear of the vehicle and when in the middle you are at top dead center of the compression stroke.or if you want to get technical remove the passenger side valve cover and watch the intake and exhaust valves;when both are closed and rotor tip facing the middle of the vanrear windowyou are at tdc,man Ford really screwed up when they made these everything is almost impossible to get to. final note watch out for the fiberglass insulation.from Robert rodriguez.
