Check on the engine block or intake manifold of your motor. Most engines are cast with that information right on it.

No, It sounds like your timing is off or your firing order is wrong.

The PCV valve is located under the MAP sensor on a 1990 Pontiac Grand Prix. The MAP sensor is in the upper plenum.

Your Electronic Ignition Pack, a black box your spark plug wires come off of should have it written on the top beside each plug wire. I think the firing order is 1-6-5-4-3-2 though.

At the coil pack the wires are 1-4-6-3-2-5 left to right, The cylinders are 1-3-5 L to R at the back of the engine; 2-4-6 at the front. Match 'em up.
