It depends what type of sugar you mean... glucose is C6H12O6. All sugars contain arrangements of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen.

There is no general formula for sugar as there are many different sugars and each has a different structure and number of atoms. A very common sugar is glucose which has the formula C6H1206.
