It should be a 5.0L V8 302ci motor.
firewall 4 - 8 3 - 7 2 - 6 1 - 5 front of Ford V8
Our 1977 F-100 takes a 56" drive-shaft U-joint to U-joint
take right side motor mount loose and jack motor up to get starter off.
if it.s a 351 Windsor complete the only difference it's about 1 inch wider, modify the exhaust a little
4 engines available, 5.8 (351ci), 5.0 (302ci), 4.9 (300ci), 4.9 (300ci Bi-Fuel). Need to know which one you have.
To change the spark plugs, the ones on the left side (driver's side) of the engine are accessible from the top of the engine under the hood. The plugs on the right side (passenger side) are accessible by pulling the right front wheel and removing the rubber dust cover (pops off) that attaches to the fenderwell. This is assuming that you have a 5.0L V8 engine (302ci). Have Fun!!!
As in cubic inches, it is pretty much equal to a 305. But compared to other vehicles: Ford- 5.0L; 302ci. Dodge- ?L; 318ci. Toyota- 5.1L; ?ci.
In the 80s the F150s and Broncos came with at least 3 engines a strait six 300ci or one of 2 V8s a 302ci(5.0l) or a 351ci(5.4l).
The Ford 302 cubic inch H.O. (High Output) engine was mostly a muscle car power plant. H.O.'s had upgraded intake system and a performance cam.
well the 1980 ford bronco XLT( i own one as well) has a 302ci engine pushin 359 horses. ^^ Not quite there stud.. the 1980 model year 302 was bumped up to 133-horsepower and 233-pound feet of torque.
