It is in the fuel tank.
Under the hood in the fuse/relay module.
Fuel pump, blown fuel pump fuse, fuel filter clogged, fuel pressure regulator, or defective ECU.
Electric fuel pump inside the gas tank!!!
Fuel tank.
In the fuel tank.
There is a low pressure fuel pump in each fuel tank. The low pressure pump feeds the inline high pressure pump. Newer models , I believe 1990 and up, changed to the high pressure in tank fuel pump and eliminated the in line pump.
The fuel filter could be blocked.
If the car runs the fuel pump is not out. If you suspect it's not doing so well or the car doesn't run, you'll need to check the fuel pump pressure with a gauge. You could check the computer for any codes. If none are present the fuel pump pressure is probably OK. If it says "low fuel pressure", you probably need a new pump. If none of that pans out and you still believe there's a fuel related problem, maybe it needs a new fuel filter. Everything can be working fine but if the gas can't get through the filter... you get the point. Aren't cars fun!?!
gas tank
The fuel pump is the same up to 94. The harness should also be the same.
I believe that the fuel pump for the 94 Pontiac sunbird is in the gas tank.
