There is a low pressure fuel pump in each fuel tank. The low pressure pump feeds the inline high pressure pump. Newer models , I believe 1990 and up, changed to the high pressure in tank fuel pump and eliminated the in line pump.
Where is the gas filter located on a 1995 F150XL pickup with duel gas tanks?
30 gallons per tank.
broken wire or bad switch
I don't know where you can get a diagram but Ford has some recalls out on duel fuel tanks. Check with a dealer yours could be covered.
I believe it does
I know on my 1992 F150 it is under the hood behind the washer fluid reservoir in the black plastic power supply box with large fuses, relays and diodes. If you have duel tanks then their is one relay for each fuel pump.Hope this helps.
Fuel senders generally work by a float that increases ground( as opposed to positive current) as it moves up in the tank. If the fuel gauge shows full I would suspect : Grounded wire to the gauge look for bad insulation rubbed thru or a bad sender. 1930fcoupe
www.motorcraft.com refers to midship tanks and after axle tanks on the 1993 F150 , the largest of all the tank sizes being 19 U.S. gallons , so I believe the 1993 F150 's all have 2 gas tanks ( Someone please correct me if I'm wrong ! ) the duel gas tanks were an option that you could choose Not all 93 f-150's came with 2 it was an option eg: my 93 F-150 XL only has 1 gas tank
There should only be one, inline on the frame.
Ford has a recall out on some f series trucks with duel tanks, for the conditions you describe. They also had problems with certain fuel pressure regulators.Contact a dealer to see if your truck is on the recall.
...no
only if it has duel tanks installed other wise there's only one...
