The 'Windows key' (the one with a little windows flag to the left and right of the space bar) + D minimizes all open applications so that the desktop can be viewed.
This is obviously only true when running a Microsoft Operating system like Windows XP. On most flavours of Linux it does nothing. On an Apple keyboard, the button doesn't even exist.

The keyboard shortcut notation ctrl plus esc means you press the Control key concurrently with the Escape key. On a Windows PC, the Ctrl + Esc shortcut produces the Start Menu.

ALT+N is an accelerator (a keyboard shortcut). It's function is dependent upon the context in which it is used. In Windows, the ALT key brings focus to the active application's command menu while the N will highlight any top-level menu that has been assigned the N accelerator. In Visual Studio, for instance, ALT+N brings focus to the Visual Studio IDE's ANALYZE menu. But if the desktop has focus, ALT+N does nothing because it is not a designated accelerator for the desktop.

To make life easier. Plus this question is worded wrongly. It should be one of:What is the function of a computer? What are the functions of a computer? So yah. Hope this helped :)
Assuming I understand your question: On an IBM PC keyboard there is a key labeled Ctrl which stands for Control. For a number of functions they will say Press Ctrl plus some other key. For example, Ctrl+C (sometimes written Ctrl-C) copies just like the copy function in the Edit menu. To copy using Ctrl+C, highlight the area you want to copy, press the Ctrl key and while holding it down, press the C key on the keyboard.
A menu is a list of actions that can be performed by the application when the user clicks on them with the mouse, uses the "key combination" specified on the menu item (usually a "meta" key, such as Control, Alt, or Command, plus a letter, number, symbol, or function key), navigates through the menu using hot keys (usually an underlined letter or number), or uses the arrow keys and then presses Enter or Return on the desired menu item. There are several types of menus, named after how they behave. An application menu, or main menu, is defined by the programmer and mentions actions that are specific to that application. A system menu is the menu provided by the operating system and deal with changing the state of the application (such as minimizing, maximizing, moving, and closing the program). A context menu is one that is invoked by a special mouse click or keyboard button that changes depending on the item that the menu was activated for. Most menus are also called "popup" menus, which mean they do not show their contents until they are activated by a mouse click or key press. Non-popup menus are always on the screen as long as the program is active.
It does not have a normal qwerty keyboard, but all the letters of the alphabet are there.
