The 2005 Nissan Altima gets around only 16-17 mpg in city. For the highway, the car gets around 24 mpg, a hybrid car will result in better gas mileage.
Lat time I checked it was 23.8 with 60% highway 40% city
20 to 30 miles to the gallon. I can get 35 on the highway without the a/c if I tried hard enough.

The Toyota Pruis has the best gas milage out of all the hybrid cars. The Honda Civis Hybrid, Ford Fusion Hybrid and Nissan Altima also have very good gas milage.
