Probably a 3.08 gear ratio.
More than likely a 3.08 gear ratio. which is a highway gear and a little strip very little unless not stock clutch/torque conveter
i have a 1970 Chevy nova with a 307 that is in running condition.

It can cost between $500 and $2000+ to rebuild a 307 Engine on a Chevy Nova. It all depends on who is rebuilding the engine, the brand of the parts, and where the parts are bought.
The only V8s available were the 307 and 350 V8s.
3 speed powerglide
The early 71s had 9 to 1 with a 74 cc head and a 1.72 inch valve. they changed the pistons to 8.5. So if your rebuilding an early 307 and its got flat tops in it, its got 9 to 1. If you got dishes or little bowls in the pistons its got 8.5 to 1.
it means that the gear is not able to push up the car due to low preasure in the gear
chevy did not offer the ss package on 307 cid engine as far as I know they did offer it on the 350 cid how ever
The answer is yes! I had one. 307 engine with a V-8, "three on the tree" manual shift, rear wheel drive. Surprisingly fast!
