The answer to this question varies from country to country. In Bolivia, you can receive up to 25 years in prison for being caught with just a small amount of marijuana. (the Bolivian penal system is less than ideal) In the United States, you may never have more than 30 days confinement. Some countries, like Canada, will not prosecute the end user. Only the distributers.
