very tough question to answer. really needs more info. do you want to know how much the bare engine block is good for? do you want to know the rated horsepower of the motor you currently have?
Depends on the engine
Advertised HorsePower is stright out of A CHILTON manual: And it says that the 1981 454 truck Engine With a 4-barrel has 210 HP. @ 3800 RPMs. The 1985 and 86 year 454 had 230 HP. @ 3800 RPMs. From 1984 down to 1979 454 engines had 210 HP @ 3800 RPMs.
The carbureted 300Cu in Ford 6 cylinder engine was 114 horsepower (give/take a bit from year to year). The fuel injected version that came along later was 150HP. Before you think "that's all???", keep in mind that horsepower is a mathematical equation. A low-revving, high torque engine like the 300 Cu In Ford truck engine will seem very low in power "in paper" due to the math involved.
Who said it won't ? It will fit right in there with NO problems
the 81 has 396 bhp if it still has the stock 396 engine in it. hope that helps ya
It depends on what transmission you have: manual...91@3800rpm auto...94@4000rpm
If it is the 5.7L 350 V8, then it has 175 Horsepower
190hp
Shouldnt be a problem...may need transmission, and engine mounts from the 302.
