When you feel real warm and comfortable! Get a humidity meter and be sure you have over 45% and preferably 60% humidity in your house. Boil water in a pot on your stove to get humdity in the air. Leave the bath water in your tub after a bath - it keeps the heat inside and adds humidity. Yea -you have to clean the tub later. The more humidity - the warmer it feels but too high humidity can cause water on the windows and all kind of crap depending on the construction of your house. Try to get humidity to 45-60. Another diddy- If you have a gas water heater and the electricity fails in a storm or other- fill up your bath tubs with hot water. Let the heat from the hot water keep you from freezing. I forgot - as I am a dinosaur - I keep my heat about 74 degree
