Reticles should be stored at the same temperature as the reticle stage in the stepper or scanner, otherwise overlay errors may occur due to dimensional changes after alignment. Some litho tools allow reticles to be stored inside them for some time before use to allow temperature stabilisation. Humidity levels should be moderate - typically 50% RH is fine. There should be NO static charge in a reticle storage environment. Ionizers are virtually compulsory. However, don't be tempted to GROUND the reticle itself as it will be more likely to be damaged if it is grounded. One cannot discharge a reticle safely by grounding it - and if there is a field around a grounded reticle the field will be focused onto the reticle - so the best solution is to keep the reticle away from ground and to keep it in an ionized atmosphere.

Most probably outside because of the difference in mean humidity levels. Higher humidity would tend to cause more rapid rusting.

Influence humidity levels in a particular area?

To influence humidity levels in a particular area, you can use a dehumidifier to reduce humidity or a humidifier to increase humidity. Additionally, ensuring proper ventilation, fixing any leaks or sources of excess moisture, and using air conditioning can also help control humidity levels in a specific area.

What is the humidity level in San Diego California today?

the humidity levels in San Diego have risen drastically from their near "perfect"levels of 15-20 years ago. The relative humidity today, July1, 2013 is 84%...not perfect by any means. Thank God the sun has not come out; the mean temperature is only about 76. We'll pray for continued cloud cover...

How do you use a humidor?

A humidor is basically a special storage container. All you need to do is put the cigar in the container and make sure it is closed. For any storage more than a day, your humidor should also have a source of humidity and a gauge to show you what the humidity levels are at inside. It is also helpful to know the temperature since temperature affects humidity and high temperatures can cause tobacco beetle infestation. I recommend a digital hygrometer/thermometer for ease of use and accuracy. The gauge and humidification system that comes with nearly all humidifiers are junk. Look into jells, beads or for larger systems a 110v humidifier which uses only distilled water. A correctly regulated humidor will reward you with the fine smoking experience you are seeking.
