TATA Motors Ltd. of India is the company which advertised with a slogan of "spoil yourself" for their Safari SUV. Which is generally called TATA SAFARI dicor.
IT means diesel ignition-common rail.. which tata's way of calling CRDE or CRDI diesel engine....
direct injection common rail
Hybrid cars like Civic hybrid and cars with DICOR like Indigo DICOR
Cariton. I found it weird because "that" name is originally just a piece of wood that is being combined together to form a body with two wheels attached at the bottom of it.
Variable Turbine Technology
The work of a dicor engine depends on the three vital components. 1:ECU 2:sensors and 3:Actuators. The whole process is controlled by the ECU.It receive the signal from the various sensors and allow the actuators to the work according to the different sensors input. The main function of the dicor engine is to controlled the emission and injection quantity.
i did 150 km/hr with my 1st generation dicor and was going for more ,bt had to stop bcos of an idiot innova driver was overtaking tata ace.....
I can't answer-but also have a pin. I know it was for a medical corps-and suspect it might have been French. Mine is half red, half white.
crdi means common rail direct injection system there will e a rail(straight pipe) structure in that fuel wil pass into that there is an another method "dicor" direct injection common rail
DICOR is nothin but refurbished term for crdi and it stands for "Direct Injection Common Rail engine" and the simple funda of crdi is a modern variant of direct injection system for diesel engines. It features a high-pressure (1000+ bar) fuel rail feeding individual solenoid valves, as opposed to low-pressure fuel pump feeding pump nozzles or high-pressure fuel line to mechanical valves controlled by cams on the camshaft. and yeah crdi and dicor is for diesel engines....where as mpfi (multiple point fuel injection) is for petrol engines and if we talk in layman language when we used carburettor fed engine.....the main problem was that the fuel air mixture was not uniform in all the cylinders. it was always that the first chamber got the richest mixture and the last chamber got the lean mixture so to get rid of this problem the engineers developed a system where we injected the fuel rather than m ixing it with air and just air was sucked in the suction stroke. i hope this would help Regards Punit
