What is the key for on night watch island?

Night Watch Island is the 33rd island of Poptropica, opened to free use on March 14, 2013. Early Access and a beginning demo were available on February 21. The quest is set in a suburban shopping mall that is closed for the night.

1) Arriving at the Twin Palms Mall, go past the mall to the Parking Lot, where you talk to Gus the security guard, and one of the store owners.

2) Go to the security entrance and apply for the watchman job.

3) On the mall manager's memory test, the differences are

- voodoo face replaces Dr. Hare on the wall display

- first belt changes color

- red shirt missing its star

- blue pants moved on floor

- disco ball replaced by normal light

4) Tour the mall and interact with the robot dummies, and get your badge.

5) Go to the security office (the only real map in the game)

IN THE MALL

6) Respond to the alert at MacGuffin's and find Gus's smart phone. He walks you through its use. Alerts on the phone normally happen when you enter or leave the central atrium.

7) As you leave, an alert comes in from Slugger's Keepsakes (one floor below)

8) Click the fallen football helmet and then call the store owner on your phone. Click the statue to move it, then open the safe (combination is 6723). Click to take the card out, then put it back after you talk to the owner again.

*Having the combination, you can actually just click the statue, open the safe, then call.

9) Head back to the atrium, and the phone alert comes from Giuseppe's Toys in the left wing (3rd floor). Cross the atrium and go there.

10) Inside, pickup the toy robot, then borrow a toy bird from the display.

11) Crossing the atrium, you receive an alert from the Sizzle Tanning Salon.

12) At the closed salon, you find that a customer is still in a tanning bed, but you leave her to finish her tan.

13) An alert comes in from Good Deals, but the camera goes dark. Go to the third floor to check on it. (There is just some movement reported by Gus.)

14) In the atrium, an alert comes in from Crawl Mart in the left wing. The coral snake is missing from his glass case, and the pet shop owner advises you to find him and lure him with his favorite snack, a bird. (You have the robot bird.)

15) Chase Eddie the coral snake into the atrium and then the right wing of the mall.

16) Find the snake at MacGuffin's (3rd floor). (You see him through the door.) He is hiding inside a "pocket-sized porta-potty" and he escapes.

17) Go to Sizzle on the ground floor, where he is hiding in a tanning bed.

18) Go into the atrium where you find him at the Chinese Food stand. Use the robot bird. He will swallow it and slither off.

19) An alert comes in from Carnival Costumes. But, as with Good Deals earlier (right next door), the camera signal is lost. Go there.

20) At the left inside the store, a masked thief knocks you down. Gus calls and says you should go to MacGuffin's and wait for the thief there.

21) In MacGuffin's, hide next to the Quick Charger device (right side) and wait for the thief to show up. When he does, he gets away but drops some keys labeled "back room."

22) Go next door to Good Deals. Set down the toy robot to keep the lights on while you try the door. The key fits. Inside, you find a rental application by the PrintFax owner, who is working on the new store. Head to Printfax (3rd floor, left) to investigate.

23) As you arrive, the thief runs you down in a Security cart and escapes. Gus suggests you get a scooter from the Mall Manager's office, and sends you a list of security codes.

24) Cross atrium and enter the manager's office on the second floor. The password is "frost." To charge the scooter, go to MacGuffin's to get a Quick Charger.

25) Ride the scooter down the elevator, go to the left side of the atrium and go up the escalator. The thief will drive past you going down. Chase him and he crashes at the fountain. But the driver is just one of the test dummies that the mall uses. Meanwhile, Eddie the coral snake pops up and rides off on your scooter!

26) Head back to PrintFax where you find an image of a Baseball card on one of the copiers (use the MENU key on the copier). Go to Slugger's.

27) Inside Slugger's, you find that the safe has been removed from below. To enter the empty store. Gus suggests a blowtorch that is hidden in the manager's office behind the painting. Get it and cut the lock.

28) You surprise the thief who is switching the cards, but he flees up a ladder.

THE VENT SYSTEM

29) In the vents, follow the thief and cut the red bars with the blowtorch. When you arrive in the A/C space, he knocks you down. Go right in the vents and find the brownish bars that lead to the A/C control. Disable it. Loop back over to the A?C space and ride the left fan's air while you cut into the vents there.

30) Chase the thief and go left into the dark B Vent to disable the second A/C control, then up the ladder. When the thief falls, pick up the card, and you both tumble out of the grill into the atrium.

31) Eddie the snake saves the day. Collect your Island Medallion from Slugger's owner.

BONUS QUEST

The quest is to recover 9 missing Sports Cards with Olympics athletes of the 1960s. In order to get the one that is in the atrium where you are, you have to leave and come back.

Cards:

1. Slumber Town - Card is next to the sign above the Sleeping Masks display
2. Sizzle - On the first pod, click the adjustment lever up to simmer and click the bed and the card will emerge.
3. Atrium sculpture - Card is up on the giant Saturn.
4. Space Time Pizza - Click the piles of dough. Card is behind the right side pile, click quickly when it is in the air.
5. In The Now - Release card by clicking on large center speaker just right of stage.
6. No Pain No Gain - Card is above the clothes at far right. To knock it down, load the baseball thrower and get a bat from the rack. Stand by the price sign ($7999) and press the space bar to swing.
7. Jolly Gifts - Card is inside an exploding confetti can by the register.
8. Crawl Mart - Card is in the piranha tank. Click so that it rises to the top between fish.
9. Outside Mall - on the mall dome

The reward is an "Old Time Baseball Uniform."

Answer 2

After you open the empty store, you chase the crook through the machinery spaces by using your torch to remove the barriers. When you corner him in the air shafts, he falls and you struggle over the baseball card, falling out into the mall. The snake returns on the scooter to prevent the crook's escape.

After you surprise the crook in MacGuffin's he drops a key. It doesn't fit the room at MacGuffin's but it does fit the back room at Good Deals next door.
